About Fiona Jessica, Soprano
Chart-topping soprano entertainer Fiona Jessica Wilson was born in London into a family of classical musicians.
She began her musical studies on the cello. At the age of 15 she discovered her soprano voice and shortly afterwards won a choral scholarship to Trinity College, Cambridge where she studied Modern Languages and Art History.
Whilst singing in the choir of Trinity College Chapel she toured Europe, the USA and Asia, participated in live broadcasts for BBC Radio 3 and BBC Radio 4, and sang on 9 CDs under the Conifer Records label.
She left university with a burning desire to perform, entertain and share the music she loves with as wide an audience as possible and for well over a decade has been sailing the seven seas as Guest Headline Entertainer performing her one-woman show: ‘Bon Voyage: from opera to popera to broadway’. She is as comfortable singing Handel, Mozart & Schubert, as Gershwin, Bernstein and ABBA.

Presenting
Fiona’s passion for the voice doesn’t stop at singing and during 2017 & 2018 she presented a radio show ‘Get Classical with FJ’ on ICR 105.7FM in order to interview musicians and break down the elitist barriers surrounding the perception of classical music. She was twice-nominated Female Presenter of the Year in the National Community Radio Awards.
Alongside her work as a singer, teacher and presenter, she is also researching the life and times of Constanze, Mozart’s wife.
